Spontane Time
A distortion of ordinary time caused by lack of hurry.
Very basically this can be explained as being late for
everything.
More difficult to explain are the benefits of this mode of action.
In my opinion some of these are:
a. Plenty of scope for idly staring at the sky
or whatever's around,
which means you see things you wouldn't otherwise notice -
you can "take time to stop and smell the flowers".
b. A relaxedness of the soul, which deters rashness,
irritation and stress,
and encourages a certain comfortable kind of humour.
c. A field that lays fallow for a year has time
to grow fertile again
and will produce a better crop the next year.
d. You can walk very fast to the bus stop and wait irritably
for what seems like ages, or you can walk very slowly
to the bus stop and catch the same bus immediately.
e. Even if you are very late and everything
goes disastrously wrong,
often you can see afterwards that it didn't matter
as much as you thought after all.
Also, once a thing has actually gone wrong,
it's easier to cope with than the worry beforehand
of what might go wrong.
Life can pass you by while you stare at your shoes,
though, so a gentle nudge is often needed,
andthat is enough to send
Jim
trampolining.
